SiliPig – hochkonzentrierte Silikonpigmente
SiliPig high-concentration silicone pigments — intense, blendable colors for platinum-cure and tin-cure silicones
SiliPig is a line of professional silicone-based pigments formulated to disperse easily and produce rich, uniform coloration in cast or brush-on silicones. Use SiliPig to tint parts, highlight details, create visual layers, or develop consistent branded colors for your silicone products.
- High-strength pigments for vivid and repeatable coloration.
- Designed specifically for silicone — excellent dispersion with no graininess.
- Compatible with platinum-cure and tin-cure silicone systems (not compatible with resins and epoxies).
- Blendable palette to create custom hues, tones, or tints.
- Low dosage: typical use 0.1%–3% by weight.
- Each 25g container is good for up to ~14kg of silicone!
Important: Some containers may have minor dents caused during international transport. The yellow pigment is supplied in a transparent container instead of the standard metal one, due to manufacturer packaging differences.
Mixing
- Pre-stir the pigment (natural settling may occur).
- Mix silicone Part A + Part B first, until uniform.
- Add SiliPig to the fully mixed silicone, then stir thoroughly until evenly dispersed.
- Typical dosage: 0.1%–3.0% (see table below). Higher pigment loads deepen color and may slightly increase viscosity.
Specifications
- Type: silicone-based, high-strength pigment
- Appearance: highly pigmented, paste-like liquid
- Compatibility: platinum-cure and tin-cure silicones
- Recommended dosage: 0.1%–3% (max. 5% for special effects)
- Mixing method: add pigment after A + B are thoroughly mixed
- Effect on cure: minimal at recommended loadings
- Viscosity: may increase slightly with higher pigment percentages
| Target look | Suggested ratio* | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Translucent tint / pastel | 0.1% – 0.3% | Subtle color, preserves translucency |
| Standard solid color | 0.5% – 1.0% | Balanced opacity and saturation |
| Deep / highly saturated | 1.5% – 3.0% | Maximum color strength; may thicken slightly |
* “% by weight” means: for 100 g of fully mixed silicone (A + B), 1% pigment = 1 g of SiliPig pigment. Example: 250 g silicone → 1% pigment = 2.5 g SiliPig.
Color range & blending
- Primary, secondary, and neutral pigments available.
- Mix primaries to create custom hues.
- Add White for tints and Black for shades.
- Record pigment ratios by weight for repeatability.

Good practices
- Use a precision scale for repeatable color formulation.
- Scrape sides and bottom of the cup while mixing to avoid streaks.
- For marbling effects, under-mix slightly and pour immediately.
- Clean tools promptly with silicone-safe cleaners.
Always perform a small-scale test when first combining SiliPig with your silicone system. SiliPig pigments are skin-safe but not suitable for food-grade silicone applications.
Storage
Store tightly sealed, in a cool, dry environment (18–25°C) and avoid direct sunlight and moisture.
