SiliCreate tin-cure silicone rubber, soft, Shore 20A
Our silicone is a reliable, cost-effective tin (condensation) cure silicone rubber designed for everyday mold-making and casting needs. With a balanced Shore hardness of 20A, it is ideal for molds used in art, crafts, prototyping, miniatures, and general creative applications.
This silicone cures quickly, mixes smoothly, and is less sensitive to cure inhibition compared to platinum-cure silicones — making it user-friendly for beginners, hobbyists, and fast production workflows.
- Economical and reliable general-purpose silicone
- Fast curing — great for rapid mold production
- Low sensitivity to cure inhibitors
- Catalyst included
Mixing
- Mixing ratio: 100:3 by weight (Base:Catalyst)
- Cures at room temperature (23°C)
- Working/mixing time: 25-35 min.
- Cures in 3-5 h. (depending on temperature, warmer = faster)
Specifications
- Tin-cure (condensation) silicone with catalyst
- Color: WHITE
- Minimal shrinkage: 0.30%
- High tear strength
- Temperature resistant (from -30 to 120 °C)
- Shore hardness: 20A
- Excellent flexibility and easy demolding
Tin-cure silicones are fast, cost-effective, and less sensitive to contaminants. However, they are not rated food-safe and may have shorter mold life and slightly higher shrinkage than platinum-cure silicones.
Tin-Cure vs Platinum-Cure Silicone
- Tin-cure (this product): best for fast, forgiving molds where ultra-precision and food-safety are not required.
- Platinum-cure: premium precision, longer mold life, and food-safe options for professional use.
